Dear neighbors, dear neighbors:
Am running to be Mayor of Santiago because I think from there you can do a lot to have a nicer city, more just and more respectful of the neighbors. I've always wanted to act consistently with what I believe, so the first test that I will face as a candidate is to do a clean campaign that is participatory and consistent with the projects we want to promote in our community.
Campaigns in the city is flooded with advertising, but there is space for the discussion of ideas. Our campaign aims to reverse that and turn the race into an opportunity to discuss the Santiago we want. Our program will define the participation of the residents. We Conventions of Barrios de Santiago in each neighborhood unit so that residents can propose and vote for the projects they take on. Invite all, without asking the political color. We will also open digital modes of participation. The result of all these contributions will be consolidated after the Great Convention Community 2012-2016.
Applicants to the municipality usually raise proposals to improve the cleanliness and care of the environment but, in practice, end up generating campaigns harm the environment, spoiling the city and increasing pollution. Our commitment is to minimize the maximum damage and privileging those style eco-friendly campaign.
Security is a central issue in the municipal elections, however, some candidates turn to criminals and thugs to install their advertising and even to destroy other cartels competitors. That's dirty campaign and our bid will not use it.
At the start of this season I wanted to take a voluntary commitment demanding public and face the neighbors. I hope the other candidates for mayor of Santiago also subscribe to these principles. I think we can give an example to the whole country of a commune able to argue constructively about their future.
